Website downtime

Hi,

My company is developing a web application which needs daily upload of data
in the backend which takes about 1 hr during which the users accessing
website are affected.

Is there some logic which can redirect the page to some page showing
"Website is currently not available"? Where do I place it? in IIS or in
application logic.

Thanks,
Tanmaya

If you're using ASP.NET 2.0, there's app_offline.htm :

See: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archi...06/426755.aspx

Otherwise, a virtual directory rename will do the job for you.
