Set connectionUsername and connectionPassword programmatically for a provider

Hello everyone,

I am working with the Active Directory Membership provider currently
and would like to set connectionUsername and connectionPassword
programmatically rather than in the Web.Config file. I have in the past
used an account with appropriate permissions and encrypted that portion
of the web.config file however I would like to instead pass the
username and password entered by the user and the username and password
to connect to AD. Has anyone had any luck with attepting something
similar to this? Do I need to use the Provider Toolkit or is there a
specific way to work with the providers programmatically?

Thanks for any insight that can be sent my way. More or less I'm
looking for a direction not as much a full solution but all help is
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

David Underwood
