accessing labels in a loginview....

Can anyone please help me with this????
I am new to ASP.NET 2.0 web forms and what i want to do is access a
label's text property. but i cant figure out how to do this. I have
some ideas but i think im having syntax problems.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
