Forms Authorisation Cookie - Removing

I have a few pages protected by Forms Authorisation using a memory
cookie specified in web.config.

I have two problems

1) I have set a timeout of 25 mins, but the pages involve quite a bit
of online editing and if the user does not update within the cookie
timeout, when they go to save the changes, they get re-directed to the
login page and lose their updates. I can obviously make the timeout
longer, but I was trying to protect the pages from, possible misuse, by
non authorized users, being able to access the site from the same
computer.

2) Is it possible to delete the cookie, on exiting the site ?

I did think about using the sessionid as the cookie name, but as the
cookie is defined in web.config - I can not see how to do this.

If I have misunderstood any of the above, I apologise, because I am
quite new to this.

Any help, pointers or comments appreciated.
