Where is event to call Select Method registered in GridView Control?

When I connect a simple sqldatasource to a simple gridview with
DataSourceID, the SqlDataSource's select method is called in the
PreRender event of the gridview.

My question is how (and where) is that event getting registered? I've
been looking through GridView source with Reflector and can't find it.

Thanks
