Publishing an ASP.ET 2 web application, slows down when deployed

Hi there,

I've an ASP.NET 2 web application that I want to publish, but it happened
that the application slows down in performance compared with the version
managed by VS.NET 2005.

When the application is being developed and tested inside VS.NET 2005 is
really fast; once deployed by the publishing option slows down and time to
time crashes.

I'm missing something in here?

I've lots experience with ASP.NET 1.1 and .NET in general before version 2,
now, this trivial thing is becoming chanllenging... any help... appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jose.

Jose,
If you are having difficulty with the Publish option I would suggest a test:
with the Web Application Project add-in installed, convert your project to a
Web Application Project, build it in Release mode, and copy the pages and bin
folder to your Web site. If it still runs slowly, then you have a different
kind of issue to address.
