website asp.net configuration question

I have the
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ASP. NETWebAdminFiles directory
so I know it was downloaded with vs 2005

but when I go into the website menu and click on asp.net configuration I get
a page that flies by me and a return to the original page.

I have not found anyone else having this problem on the web and was
wondering if there was anything I could look into aside from reinstalling vs
2005.

thanks
