Memory in use

Is there a way to figure out how much memory a session is using (session
variables)?

I am trying to figure out how much memory is being used at any given time
to see what the impact on the Server is.

I am debating on whether to change my DataGrid sorting to use a dataset and
keeping it in a session variable and sorting the dataset (dataview) instead
of hitting the Sql Server each time the user wants to sort my table.

Not sure which is best, but there is a definate memory question as I already
store lots of data in Session variables.

Thanks,

Tom
