File statys lock on IIS restart

Hi;

I have an audit file that is opened in append more and locks other apps from
writing to it. When I stop and restart IIS my web app cannot open the file
because it is locked by another application. If I stop and restart IIS a
second time, no problem.

Any ideas?

Hello Dave,

As for file locking issue, you can consider use the process explorer or
other tools to find out the root cause or unlock the file:

#Process Explorer

#unlocker
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

Hope this helps.
