Any idea how to do this zoom in/out, move, feature:

JavaScript big-time.
I am also interested on the techniques used.
How too pane/slide the zoomed image right and left.
View the source and you might be able to get some idea.
AJAX maybe and other things.

Hope some expert will guide up to the answers with whitepaper on how to go
about doing such thing
Top level explanation will help first.
