please advise

hey all,
i'd like to get some different ideas on how to approach a solution i'm
trying to develop. ok, we have a lot of vendors who need to upload documents
to our web server. We'd like the docs to be available internally in a
sharepoint document library.
internally, we'd like employees to be able to view/edit the documents and
push any updates back to a central location where the vendors can review any
updates to their documents.

we're still in elaboration phase, we're thinking to have an aspx login page
where vendors can drop docs on the web server. FileSystemWatch that folder
and push to sharepoint document library. we don't know how to move from web
folder to doc lib in sharepoint.

any ideas on how to get web docs to doc lib in sharepoint and vice versa. Or
are there better ideas to accomplish this ?

thanks,
rodchar
