passing parameter to a frame

Here is the situtation.

I am in a page called "thispage.aspx" From there, I would like to go to
frameset.htm.

In the frameset are two frames
- "nextpage.aspx"
- "anotherpage.htm"

From thispage.aspx, I need to pass some parameters to nextpage.aspx.

Normally I would go
Response.Redirect("nextpage.aspx?city=seattle");

But the problem is, the target I am redirecting to is a frame in
frametset.htm, not nextpage.aspx.

I suppose I can do
Response.Redirect("frameset.htm?city=seattle"), but nextpage.aspx is
the eventual destination of city=seattle.

How can I go about doing this? Thanks. I am trying to avoid using it
as a Session variable.
