Hi,
We have a web page with a javascript menu on the left hand side. On
click of the javascript menu, we want some content to be displayed but
without the whole page getting refreshed. We are using master pages
with the menu in the master page. Using frames is one alternative but
we are not game for that due to UI limitations. Will Atlas solve my
issue? And if so can some one please let me know how? Any other
solution is also most welcome.
Thanks and Regards,

you can try Atlas for sure... :-)
I'm a user and I'm happy with it http://atlas.asp.net/
and check the latest ATLAS Toolkit in http://atlas.asp.net/atlastoolkit/

Atlas is a mechanism to request data from the server. Sounds like all you
need is some javascript to dynamically hide/show sections of your page (probabaly
using stylesheets).

AJAX is a good solution. Atlas is one implementation AJAX, but it's still
in beta.
You might consider another AJAX solution such as the functionality built
into ASP.NET 2.0.
Here's more info on that: http://SteveOrr.net/articles/Ajax.aspx

Done this myself using Atlas. Easy enough - just use the UpdatePanel control.
Anyone know when Atlas is out of Beta?

Soni,
You can give PanelSet a look: http://www.coalesys.com/products/mer...s/panelset.asp
Online Samples: http://www.coalesys.com/products/mer...et/default.asp
It is specifically designed to offer frame-like behavior without HTML frame
limitations. It has automatically sizing Panels, splitter objects and can
perform ASP.NET Callbacks. It should be easy enough also to wrap around
your existing page content.
