Redirecting on Back button click

I have a page (page 3) with a Back button, and there are 2 possible
pages (page 1 and page 2) that it can redirect back to. I can only
think of passing a parameter in the querystring from pages 1 and 2 and
using this to redirect, but is there a cleverer way of doing this in
.NET?
