Crash on first access

Has anyone seen the condition where you update the web site by
publishing from VS2005 and the first time you access the site you get a
generic error, but the subsequent times it works fine.

Is there a way to resolve it?

Thanks.

Pretty much every single time. Though I can't say for absolute sure.
