what is the best ajax lib?

I would like the opinions of those who actually use Ajax libraries and maybe
tried various APIs before settling on the one you currently use. I would
like to know what libraries (that are free) would people recommend using for
a site.

Atlas is the future, but the future isn't here yet.
In the meantime I kind of like the built in AJAX capabilities of ASP.NET
2.0, which are detailed here:

Anthem.net is a very easy to implement set of AJAX libraries, that fits well
into ASP.net framework. It's a bit of a dirty hack in the way it work under
the hood, but it does work very well.

i find that Ajax.Net is a great performer - im still on .NET 1.1 (VS2003),
and once you get the hang of the coding, its real easy to use.

I had a go at some of the other AJAX implementations that use a panel
control to drop your controls on it, but the performance was much slower
than i expected so i'm now using Ajax.Net only.

are you using ajax.net or ajax.net pro?

Any concern about ajax.net not being developed anymore?

Ajax.NET is only the older version, the new version is called Ajax.NET
Professional and can be used with .NET 1.1 and 2.0. See more details at
http://www.ajaxpro.info/.
