Changing the default URL

When I run a website in VS2005 and use the built in web server (I don't have
IIS installed) the URL is

http://localhost/websitename

How can I change this so that it is http://localhost instead? I like to use
absolute paths in my webpages.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,

I don't think that's possible with the built-in web server, but you can
use the tilde (~) character in your paths to represent the application
root, which should enable your paths to work whether they're in a
virtual directory, or at the web root.

HTH,
Chris
