InitializeCulture is not a member of ASP.[filename]_aspx

After adding some code to codehehind for my vb aspx page, I am now getting this error:

"InitializeCulture is not a member of ASP.[filename]_aspx"
if I move the codebehind back to inline script , then the page works.

What's with this error message ?
