list box selected items

I have a drop down and when the user makes a selection it then highlights
linked values in a listbox. The problem is that the user still has to scroll
in the list box to see the selected items, how can I get the items that
correspond to the selected value in the drop down to show highlighted to the
user so they do not have to scroll in the listbox looking for them?
