Monitoring Windows Services

Hi,

I am trying to create a windows application that will monitor the
windows services on a local computer or a remote computer. If any of the
services fails, then it needs to email me saying that particular service has
failed. How could I do that? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Sridhar.

You could use WMI. Here is an old classic
asp sample with the appropriate wmi queries:

In .NET 2.0, you would use the System.Management
namespace if I'm not mistaken.
