999 error

What is a 999 error and how can I troubleshoot it? It's not an error code
that IIS will allow a custom error page for.

It must be an upside down 666 error.

I've never heard of a 999 web error.

Might it be a Windows error code ?

ERROR_SWAPERROR 999
Error performing inpage operation.

Check the health of your paging file.

One of my client's web site has awstats on it and it's reporting 100000
pages of 999 errors.

Assuming the 999 came from the IIS log file and not from awstat bug:
