Help on Login control for authentication in .NET 2.0

Hi,

I'm a newbie trying out my first ASP.NET 2.0 website. I'm trying to
use the Login control to authenticate users. I want the control to make
use of an existing table, containing user details, that is in SQL
server 2000 that is available on a remote machine. I'm not able to
achive this and I'm not able to get any thing on this regard either.

Can anyone guide me as to what needs to be done, and where. I would
also like to know where can I find some articles regarding the same.

FYI : I'm using a VWD Express edition, for my development. I would also
like to knw if there is anything different in the IDE of the Express
edition from that of the full version.

Thanx in adv.
Dina
