Good ASP .NET book?

Hi;

Is there a good book for people (like me) that know .NET, but don't know ASP
..NET? Preferably one that is not a gazillion pages long.

Dave,
Before you even invest in a book, check out the Quickstarts, which installs
with either Visual Studio.NET or the .NET Framework SDK, and is also
available online at several locations for both ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 versions.

MS put a lot of effort into them.

I liked "Professional ASP.NET 2.0" (Paperback)
by Bill Evjen, Scott Hanselman, Farhan Muhammad, S. Srinivasa Sivakumar,
Devin Rader

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764576100/

but it is a gazillion pages long. It makes for a good reference book.

I'd also search on google groups for that question for previous replies.
It seems to get asked every week or so... (most people eventually tire
of re-re-re-answering it)

Choice of book depends on whether you are developing with or without Visual Studio and which language you prefer.

the best choice is the one written by Dino Esposito "programming asp .net"
