Error debugging remote web server "Duplicate name exists on the network"

Hi

Microsoft need to reopen this bug...

http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/produc...4-984923f20999

Visual Studio 2005 Pro (final) has this bug. Suggested workaround works
(adding an entry in the hosts file) but this is an annoyance and
Microsoft needs to confirm it is developing a fix for this. It appears
they keep closing the bug (twice now) when they see the workaround.

They say a fix has been checked in (see above URL), but what they
actually mean is they have suggested two time consuming work arounds
every time a new project is started.

Will microsoft fix this bug in the form of a hotfix?

Thanks

Alex
