WIndows controls in IE

Apologies for xpost. I initially posted on wrong group.
OS: WIn XP pro & IE Ver 6.0
VS.net 2005
framework 2.0

I am having trouble Hosting a Widnows Forms Control In IE.
I have created my Windows forms control and dropped the dll into my virtual
folder and I have created an HTML page which contains the control with the
appropriate <object> tag but when I run my test site in IE the control does
not appear. I get the usual empty box on screen.
In IE I have set the "http://localhost" as trusted but that still does not
work.
