VS05 and ASP.NET 2.0 - Connection String in web.config

P: n/a
in VS03/ASP.NET, I have to edit the web.config to add the connection
string under appSettings.

I am sure that I can do the same is VS05. But I noticed that there is
a connectionStrings section. So I thought that putting the my
connection string under this section makes more sense. and I can
MANUALLY modifiy the web.config.

1. What the App_Data folder for? It requires the SQL Server Express by
Default also.

2. Are we suppose adding these throught the GUI, i.e. through the manu
WebSite/ASP.NET Configuration? then, I can only add it to the
appSettings section.
