Visual Studio 2003 .net - Supports .net 2.0?

Dan

I have always been using asp.net 1.1 framework with vis studio 2003. I
presume that i can install the 2.0 framework and continue to use vis studio
2003 with the new libraries? Am i right? It seems to still beusing the 1.1
framework?

Also if i develop in 2.0 to make the dll but my webserver is still on 1.1 i
am guessing there will be issues, am i right?

Thanks

VS Studio 2003 uses 1.1 and produces code for 1.1. It can neither use nor
produce code for 2.0. Instead, you can migrate your 1.1 project to 2.0.

VS Studio 2005 uses and produces code for 2.0. This code cannot be used in
1.1.

No. For now, VS.NET always target the corresponding .NET framework release
(that is 1.1 for VS.NET 2003, and 2.0 for VS.NET 2005).

Thanks guys much appreciated - and Markus B, best answers i have ever had,
simple, honest and accurate. No offence to those who gave more detail,
definitely helped my understanding of vis studio.

Cheers
