downloading a file after input a emailadress

hi community,
i am new on ASP and looking for a solution that makes that:
- on a form a user had to input his email and then he can hit a download
button
- the download begins and his email is send by email to the owner f the
website
ore the email ist stored in a database

who can give me the initialized ideas ore code snips or prgrammatical
background to do this
