Consuming Web Service

We have a webservice on a central webserver. I can go to my browser and
look at the service, see the methods... I need to create several
seperate asp.net applications in notepad. How do I go about consuming
the web service? Do I have to create a dll and put it in each of these
applications bin directory or can I just use the asmx file like the VS
ide does? Again the web service is on a different server than the
seperate asp.net applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You need a proxy stub for the applications, its a skeleton of the remote
methods with the information for your application to call them locally.
Have a look at this.
