checking postback

hey all,

forgive my ignorance, but is there a way to check for postback in javascript
or is that stricly a microsoft thing?

A postback is something that would be determined server side, ie
microsoft (ASPNET).

You can check it.But in a roundabout way.Set the hidden variable value to
"submit" whenever the page gets submitted and check the hidden value =
"submit" in javascript .
