Web Application development vs windows client development

Hi, I am looking for any white papers on best practices for building
out a Windows Rich Client application that may be reused for a Web
based ASP.NET application down the road. What gotchas I should be
aware of, what areas of code that should be able to be reused and not
reused. I am planning to write this application in vb.net, and am
fairly new to .NET.

Thanks

Nelson
