Textarea wrap

Ho un textarea e vorrei che se la linea va a capo, poi la registrazione nel
database avennisse con il LineBreak per ogni linea, anche se non
esplicitamente voluto dall'utente, quello che era il vecchio WRAP=HARD
Ho visto che c'e' la proprieta' white-space, ma non so se e' questa quella
che devo impostare.
Qualche idea?
