Project management / bug management

Hi all,

First of all: i know this is maybe not the correct newsgroup to post this
but i want to get the info from real programmers and what they feel is the
best.

What i need is a project management tool/website to manage our project and
bug tracking.

Now we use an intranet from http://www.diggersolutions.com/ to manage our
projects and Bugtracker.NET from
http://btnet.sourceforge.net/bugtrackernet.html to manage our bug reports.

But i want to have 1 program/website to manage the projects and our bug
tracking.
I work @ a small company with 3 programmers so maybe Microsoft Project is
too big and stretched? also don't know if there is a bug tracking tool in
it...

So my question is: What do other programmers like you use for project
management and bug management?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Best regards

Take a look at Visual Studio.Net 2005 Team System.

Hi Floris,

As a single developer, I do indeed find MS Project a bit "overkill".

I've found using Excel works perfectly adequaty for what I need, keeping
track of what need to be done, etc.

I also build bug reporting systems into most of my corporate apps, with
emails going to a specific account for each app. This means I can have a
folder in Outlook that keeps all my bug reports from client sites together.

All very simple, but works for me! As Kevin said, VSTS might well be more
suited to your needs - having used it, I can confirm it's very cool :)

Cheers
Dan
