Sharing session between 1.1 and 2.0

Is it possible to share sessions between .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0? Anybody any
experience? In the transition period, parts of a website would still be in
1.1 code while other parts are already in 2.0. If they are in different
virtual directories, this should be possible.
