How do I create my own validation keys?

I'm trying to read a validation cookie between different applications like
this:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...plications.asp

The question I have is how do I make the initial validationKey and
descriptionKey? Or are these just random strings that I can just type in
randomly myself?

You should generate the number with crypro APIs. Tool and source code to
do that is here:

Should or must?

My only goal at this point is to enable 3 applications to read the same
cookie...security isn't actually much of a concern for this.
