page editor: jumping in virtual space

Crossposted to relevant groups.

When using VS2003 to develop ASP.NET apps, you open up an aspx page and have
a "canvas" to work on. You can drop controls from the toolbox onto the page,
and then reposition a control by dragging it around the page.

But if you want to use a TabStrip with multiple panels, only one of which is
visible at any given time (according to the tab metaphor) you can scroll to
the page to the right into virtual space, and then place a panel on the
canvas, and then place another panel to the right of it, and another to the
right of it, and so on. That's a lot of horizontal scrolling.

Has anyone solved this problem using TabStrips and "multi-page" controls? Or
is there any way to position a marker where each panel begins and then jump
to the marker?

| [ panel1 ] . | [panel2] [panel3] [panel4]......[panel 'n']

Thanks
