Asp.Net 2.0. Need Advice.

Hello,

I am starting a new web site project which I will launch in January of
2006.

I didn't decided yet if I will create it in Asp.Net 2.0 using MS Visual
Studio 2005 and MS SQL 2005 or in Asp.Net 1.1 using Visual Studio 2003
with SQL 2000.

My main problems are:
1. Is Visual Studio 2005 current Beta version, SQL 2005 and Asp.Net 2.0
stable enough to be used? Are they close to the final version or many
changes are expected?
2. Do you believe Microsoft will launch the final version In 9 of
November?
I am asking this because there have been so many delays.

I will appreciate any opinion.
It will help me to decide.

It is close to the final version and as stable as any beta would claim to
be, you should always expect changes and bugs - even beyond the first
release.

November?
I am asking this because there have been so many delays.
Thats still the plan .............there has been no indication it will be
late that I have seen - not that it counts for much.

Would I use it - well given your delivery date for your app - probably.

We are already busy converting ASP.NET 2.0. As soon as it is launch
officially, we are goiung live.
There is no way ou can start is project in ASP.NET 1.1 now, you will pull
your hair out down the line.
Development time is cut down to at least half of what you needed in ASP 1.1.
It is no match.

You always have small things in teh beginning like the DataFormatString in
gridview of Aug CTP that is not working. It did in Beta 2.
However, July and Aug CTPs are a great improvemnt on the documentation side,
which indicates the products is gettign stable...
