Help Getting Started

Hello!

I am using an ASP.NET book to learn the language. It told me to install ISS.
I did with no problems. It is telling me to go here:

http://my_server_name/localstart.asp

And I used my server name and the site wont come up. The DEFAULT WEB SITE is
running but I still cant pull the site up by this method. It is all running
on one machine, my main machine.

Suggestions?

Hi,

It is IIS.

Your website files will be located here:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\

Add in the wwwroot directory a file with the name default.htm (just add some
text inside that file).
After that, go to http://<computername>/default.htm.
