getting http content from a web page

Quick question. What is the correct way to get the text from a web page into
a string variable.
then use the normal string functions to get to the information?

Take a look at this:

Parsing the HTML is trickier... since HTML is not strict about formatting.
You can try regular expression parsing or string parsing to get the
individual elements you want. Otherwise see if there is a HTML parsing
library online - it'll probably make your life a whole lot easier : )
