I know this doesn't answer your question. I have studied how
inefficient managing state in sql server is. So, I avoid it
at all costs. If your company is willing spend a little money,
I've found ScaleOut Software's StateServer for managing
session state in a web farm to be quite superior:

Hi,
Instead of using the default ASPServer database to store my session, I
want to create a database with a different name? (so I'm not sharing
with other sites)
I have read something about using Aspnet_regsql.exe - am I on the right
track? If so, where do I download this from?
Thanks.
Jack
