Reading Word doc from ASP.net

I'm trying to do one of two things - either read an uploaded word doc,
capture the contents, and put them in a PDF file, OR convert the
recently uploaded word doc straight to PDF.

I can do the former on my PC. The network guys put Word 2003 (version
11) on the server, but it always times out. Any ideas, anyone?
Any feedback is appreciated.

Leah
