Validator for passwords

Hi.

I have a regularexpression validator that I use to validate passwords
for my application. I am trying to use this expression to force my users
to type 8 to 25 characters, with at least one letter and one digit:
^(?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-zA-Z])(?!.*[\W_\x7B-\xFF]).{8,25}$

I tested the expression using the RegExLib site and it seems ok, but
when I try it on my site, the validator control complains. If I type a
password with 11 characters the validator accepts the password!?

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
