reading values from select boxes inside repeater

I have dataRepeater with normal select box:

<itemTemplate>
<select id='<%# getID()%> '>
<option value=0>0</option> (note:'this options are added on
client side')
<option value=1>1</option>
<option value=2>2</option>
.....
.....
</select>
</itemTemplate>

When user click the update button I would like to read all values from all
select boxes
and update the database if the value was changed.

How can I do that?

repeater.findControl doesn't work because I don't have server control.
(I don't have server control because I'm adding <option> to each select box
on client script)

request.form.item() also don't work.

Any idea or example?

regards,
Simon
