What's directories prefixed "_vti"?

Hi:

I found there are several directories in the physical directories of the vir
dir, such as "_vti_pvt", "_vti_log", "_vti_script",..... What are the
direcories for? Can I delete them?

Only if you don't need Front Page Server extensions.
Those are directories needed by the FP extensions.
