page cannot be displayed

When I try to run an ASP.NET application with an error, I don't get the
error message displayed on the current page. Instead I get the
standard "The page cannot be displayed...HTTP 500 - Internal server
error". I've tried running the same app on other machines and it
responds with the proper message.

I tried running a repair of Visual Studio .NET and it didn't solve the
problem. I then uninstalled and reinstalled VS.NET and it still didn't
work. I also ran Ad Aware and deleted all of the suspicious files it
found.

Any ideas???

Hi Ralph:

It's an IE setting.

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Browsing

Uncheck "Show friendly HTTP error messages"
