best control to use

Hi just wondering the best control to use for this. I have a stored
procedure that returns, 1 to 5 records (string and corrosponding integer).
Anyhow I want the string portion to be editable. Tried a list box and it
populates correctly but can not modify the text.
thanks.

Depending on your needs display-wise, DataList and Repeater are valid
choices as well :)

Hi thanks for the response. I need to populate a control with a list of
strings and have 2 to 5 of these selected based on what is returned from a
stored procedure. I also will need to allow additional selections by the
user and have another procedure that will write back into a database table
based on what is selected in the control box with more than 1 selection
allowed.

control
item1
item2 (highlighted or selected)
item3
item4(highlighted or selected)
item5
item6

thanks.

thanks for the response, thinking I need to allow multiple selections, like
in a dropdown box or listing and then write these back into a database, guess
a datagrid might work for this.
