Multiple File upload or download

I am creating an intranet App that is a document management system, and now
I have been told they wan't the ebilty to version control directories, not
just files. So I have the file upload and download working great, but I have
no idea where to start on how to upload or download an entire directory,
thankfully there will be no sub directories in the directories. Also, they
do not want to select file by file because there may be 40 files in a
directory, so this has to be able to acept a directory and then upload or
download all files in that directory by itself. I have a very funny feeling
this cannot be accomplished without something like an active x control, but
hopefully I am wrong. Any ideas? Thanks for your help

this link explains how to upload and download directory to server and view
the same in datagrid. You can use the part u want and probably add it to the
database instead of server.

this tools allow managing dir on the web server, not uploading one.

you will need to use an active/x control to implement this functionality.
you coulld look at the .net smart client support.

HI, Bruce:
I am also interested in the topic and the .net smart client support that you
mentioned. Could you post the link to the .net smart client support ?

Thank you

David

You're correct that you'll need an ActiveX control (or a thick client of
some other kind) because this can't be done with standard HTML and browser
scripting.

Here are some 3rd party options that may help you out:

I've not tried the code in the this article, but the author appears to have
a source code based solution.
