None of my buttons work when using client-side validation

I'm using a RequiredField validator control to do some client side
validation. Client validation works fine, but the buttons do nothing after
validation (in other words, the form is not posted). It must be a simple
setup problem because everything works OK on my local machine but the
problem arises when running it from a outside hosted web account. I have a
aspnet_client folder in the root directory of my web hosting account. Can
anyone suggest what else I should check ?
