SourceSafe Botches Folder Structure

Hi all,

I am pulling my hair out on this one.

I am following the Microsoft guidelines on how to structure folders and
check in ASP.Net apps to VSS. Here's the problem:

1. I create a blank project called MyWebSolution so a folder is created
for me.

2. Then I add another folder beneath that called MyWebApp and mark that
as a virtual directory

3. Then I add a web project to my solution.

At this point I have a nice folder structure with the solution in the
parent folder and all the asp.net files in a child folder (virtual
dir).

UNTIL...

I check it in to VSS. When I check it in, the child folder (MyWebApp)
gets placed at the same level as MyWebSolution. It basically flattens
my directory. This is lame lame lame lame.

Any help?
