Searching AD with partial data?

Hi

I need to allow users to search for all Projects created by a certain user.
My sql database contrains a Projects table with a Creator field. This holds
the AD sAMAccountName field.

However, the users need to be able to search by name of creator, not their
AD account. I've got it to work on full names, but how can I get AD to search
a list of users based on "some" of their DisplayName? (almost lile an sql
LIKE statement).

Cheers
Dan
